Why Did My Awning Motor Stop Working?

If your awning's motor suddenly stops responding β€” whether during regular use, while making adjustments, or during setup β€” don't panic. This is likely due to its built-in safety feature, not a fault.

The PERGOLUX motor is equipped with an overheat protection system that limits operation to a maximum of two full open/close cycles within any 30-minute window. This engineered behavior protects the longevity of the motor.

The Fix: Simply let the motor rest for 30 minutes. After this brief cooldown period, it will resume normal operation. If you ever experience a power outage, you can always use the included hand crank to manually open or close your awning.
