Smart Home Compatibility
The PERGOLUX system has been tested with the following smart home devices:
- Apple HomePod Mini (Supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi)
- Amazon Echo (4th Gen) (Supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi)
- Amazon Echo Show 8 (Supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi)
- Google Nest Hub (Model GUIK2) (Supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi)
- Samsung SmartThings Station (Supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi)
Important Information for Apple Users
Apple introduced support for the Matter standard in the following software versions:
- iOS 16.1
- iPadOS 16.1
- macOS Ventura
- watchOS 9.1
- tvOS 16.1
- HomePod Software 16.1
If your device is running software older than version 16.1, the PERGOLUX system will fail to connect. Please ensure your device is updated before attempting pairing.
Verify Software & OS Updates
- Ensure your Smart Home system is running the latest available software.
- Confirm the device used for control (phone, tablet, etc.) meets the following requirements:
- iOS / iPadOS / macOS: Version 16.1 or later
- Android: Version 13 or later
These updates are essential for Matter-compatible accessories and for establishing a stable connection between the Thread Border Router and the PERGOLUX Controller.
Check the Connection Range
- Ensure the Thread Border Router or compatible Smart Home device is within 5–10 metres of the PERGOLUX S3 Control Box.
- Minimise obstructions such as walls or large furniture.
If the Control Box is not discoverable, proceed to the next step.
Enter Pairing Mode
- If the PERGOLUX S3 Control Box is not detected, use a pin to press the S2 button on the bottom of the remote three times.
- The LEDs on the Control Box will blink, indicating it has entered pairing mode.
- Attempt the connection again.
Power Cycle Devices
If issues persist:
- Unplug both the PERGOLUX Control Box and the Smart Home device.
- Leave them unplugged for several minutes.
- Reconnect and attempt pairing again.
Final Checklist for Successful Setup
- ✅ Compatible smart home device in use
- ✅ Latest software versions installed (iOS 16.1+ or Android 13+)
- ✅ Thread Border Router within 5–10 m range
- ✅ PERGOLUX S3 Control Box in pairing mode
- ✅ Devices power-cycled if required
